nLTS-vc3U

SimulCharge™, Voltage Converter, 3 x USB Adapter for Lenovo Micro USB Tablets

$74.99 / Web Price

The nLTS-vc3U provides compatible Lenovo Micro USB tablets with simultaneous charging and access to data. It has three USB-A ports for peripherals, a built-in voltage converter and Docking Detect technology.

The SimulCharge™ adapter can support up to three USB-enabled peripherals, such as a printer, scanner and card reader.

The SimulCharge™ adapter can use an external DC power source, ranging from 9 to 36 volts. The DC-DC converter steps down the input voltage to a device-friendly 5 volts for use by the nLTS-vc3U and mobile device. The voltage converter allows the adapter to be placed up to 50 ft (15 m) away from the power source. It can be installed in locations with no easily accessible AC outlets or in environments where extension cords or dedicated AC lines are prohibited, inconvenient or expensive.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The nLTS-vc3U SimulCharge™ adapter for Lenovo Micro USB tablets has a built-in voltage converter, three USB-A ports for peripherals and Docking Detect technology. SimulCharge™ lets tablets operate as a USB Host controller while simultaneously being charged.

The simple plug-and-play nature of the nLTS-vc3U makes it an easy, low-cost alternative to Power-Only, Power over Ethernet (PoE) setups. This eliminates the need for complex and expensive Power Injectors or PoE-capable network switches, in order, to place mobile devices in isolated or far-off locations.

Since the nLTS-vc3U operates between 9 and 36 volts DC, it can be used to supply power in permanent and semi-permanent installations (adhering to local electrical codes) with minimal installation cost. This eliminates the requirement for a licensed electrician to install and run a dedicated AC power line.

The nLTS-vc3U uses an on-board DC-DC voltage converter that takes the input 9-36 VDC power and steps it down to the 5 volts required by most mobile devices*. The adapter can be put up to 50 ft (15 m) from the AC power source. This means it can be installed in locations with limited electrical outlets and provides greater options for tablet placement. (The power supply is not included.)

The SimulCharge™ adapter can support up to three USB-A peripherals, such as a scanner, printer and card reader.

Docking Detect ensures the “greeting” protocols between the SimulCharge™ adapter and mobile device are executed correctly and consistently every time they are connected. This allows the adapter to be a plug-and-play technology that ensures the mobile device always operates in USB Host mode.

The adapter comes with a casing and a Micro USB to Micro USB cable to connect the tablet.

The nLTS-vc2UE is not compatible with all Lenovo tablets. Please see the list of tested Lenovo devices.

*The tablet can also be powered through the adapter’s Micro USB-B port, which is rated for the standard 5 volts at 2 amps. It is recommended to use the charging cable that came with the tablet.
